[Today] Civil Rights protest in Atlanta over police brutality

ATLANTA – Protests are planned in front of the Fulton County courthouse Today at 5:30 p.m. after a former Atlanta police officer was cleared of killing a teenager. A judge said former officer Raymond Bunn was justified when he shot and killed 18-year old Corey Ward.

Data from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that black women get almost 40 percent of the country’s abortions, even though blacks make up only 13 percent of the population. Nearly 40 percent of black pregnancies end in induced abortion, a rate far higher than for white or Hispanic women.
